“I’m sure it will not come down to that, Sparrow. Surely there are other methods. Maybe you didn’t look hard enough.”
“I have been looking. There aren’t any other methods that would work on the Crawler.”
“…Well, I’m out of ideas, I’m afraid. Ready to kill your son?”
ladysparrow:

Reaver frowns. That was a bit cold. So, maybe he did abandon her once before, but could he really help that he had more important things to do than fight the Crawler?
“Yes, but everything turned out fine, for the most part. Except for now. Just calm down, Sparrow. You are making the situation seem worse than it is.”
“It can’t get any worse, Reaver. Would you like to know what my options are? Killing my son!”
She’s fighting her tears, now.
“When it took Walter, that was the only way to free him. Don’t tell me things aren’t as bad as they seem.”
“I’m sure it will not come down to that, Sparrow. Surely there are other methods. Maybe you didn’t look hard enough.”

Alright, so Sparrow was kind of falling apart in front of him. Reaver could deal with that, sure. It wouldn’t affect him.
“I was not aware that this whole epic battle was to occur right then! Couldn’t you have moved it to a later date? Then I might have participated. But I was busy. I apologize, I suppose.”
He doesn’t really know what he’s saying sorry for. He’s done nothing wrong.
She fights the urge to slap him again.
“You knew it was going to attack a year after the revolution!”
She takes a deep, shaky breath, trying to calm herself down.
“I didn’t get the message until a few weeks beforehand. I did everything I could have done to get back in time. You abandoned everyone, just like you tried to do to me when Lucien attacked Bloodstone.”
Reaver frowns. That was a bit cold. So, maybe he did abandon her once before, but could he really help that he had more important things to do than fight the Crawler?

Reaver didn’t know why he didn’t expect that. Maybe it’s been an off-day. Either way, it hurts, and reaches up to rub at his cheek. He’ll let it go for now, he supposes, it’s probably been a long day. A long week? He doesn’t know.
“Well, it came back didn’t it? Apparently your best wasn’t enough.”
It might have been thoroughly dead if you had pitched in. But you hadn’t. You were busy.
“I tried, Reaver.”
Her voice cracks.
“You weren’t there. You went to go sacrifice someone else.”
She refuses to cry in front of him.
“I was trying to find Archer. Don’t drag me down to your level.”

I suppose. You’ll find him eventually.
I bet.
You killed The Crawler, did you not?
Rather poor job of it, hm?
Sparrow, going on little sleep, and more stress than she can ever remember being under, slaps him.
“That thing was responsible for the death of my best friend. Don’t you dare insinuate that we didn’t do everything we could have done to get rid of it.”

I thought you would be more…oh, I don’t know, calm about it. If he truly is your son, and a Hero no less, he will be fine.
I would criticize you on your parenting skills but that would be rude.
Hm, so how do you know he’s possessed? Foaming at the mouth, vomiting, spooky voices?
It’s difficult to be calm in this sort of situation. You didn’t see it take control of him. If he wasn’t a Hero, I know he would have tried to kill me.
If you did something that stupid I would shoot you.
We could hear the Crawler speaking through him. There is no question about this.
I suppose. You’ll find him eventually.
I bet.

Ooh, a bit touchy, I see.
Well, how would we go about this little mission? Any idea as to his whereabouts?
My Son is possessed. Do you really expect me to be acting another way?
No, I…I don’t know where he is. He was in his room the last I knew, but now he’s gone.
